Model As An Input-Output Transformation Device

  • Input--->Model--->Output
  • If model is changed then output will change
  • If inputs and model are changed then output may or may not change depending on whether the changes are compensating
  • When a model is developed, it is assumed that the results reflect the reality good enough
  • While altering the model, remember:
  1. New model should be better at reflecting reality
  2. Alteration should be worth the cost
  3. Effort should be justifiable for the alteration
